This probe was designed as a result of frustration and disappointment over the poor durablility of other units designed to perform the same function.  This design has been tested extensively in my shop and has held up very well.

Cautions

It is designed to take voltage readings with a minimum of wire insulation damage.  It is NOT designed to flow current.  Do not use it to complete high (above 1 amp) current circuits.  Do not twist the probe once the wire has been pierced or needle bending will occur.

The plastic in the probe will withstand fairly high temperatures, however contact with exhaust manifolds will damage the probe.
